When I went for the first time to a big bb contest last year - The NABBA Mr UNIVERSE. It wasn't just the muscle on stage which I found so great and overwhelming. It was the audience too! Obviously they were totally enthusiastic and dedicated lovers of bodybuilding and muscle, so it was no surprise that they just 'got it'. This made the whole enjoyment of the event so much better because I felt part of this bigger thing where it was totally normal for people to support, shout, cheer and celebrate everything about this lifestyle and the variety of physiques on show! We all know that the mainstream find bodybuilding, curious, over much even repellent so its often difficult or impossible to admit to loving it, without having to defend the reason, try to persuade and tedious stuff like that. It's like having to explain to people why I fucking hate tennis and them thinking I'm an idiot cos they assume everyone in the world loves it. So why am I saying this fellas? To me, these three bulls absolutely epitomise the balls to the wall, full on freakines that makes me love this sport. They have gone for the full on muscle bull look and not just kept with the more mainstream pretty version of a muscled physique . They stomp about on stage, totally not giving a shit what the mainstream think. They embellish their bodies even more with tattoos, piercings and even scary metal teeth, knowing this will make them look even more extreme! That is why...I APPLAUD YOU GUYS, GOOD ON YOU AND LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!!
As usual very well said. Though I’m not a big fan of tats, and piercings I think “balls to the wall” says it all. Most of my friends don’t know that this world exists. They see M and Fiitness on the news stand and comment about the EXTREMES that people go to to create a monster physique. Is there sacrifice any different fro an Olympic skater, wrestler, track star, I think not. I’ve never attended a big show, only some local stuff. And no matter, the men and women put it all out there. I know guys from my local gym who train and train wish to come close to what they see in the magazines, some do very very well. I’ll continue to enjoy this blog and admire/worship at the alter of muscle and strength. Will continue to enjoy UKMN reviews, here’s a guy who really understands the sport, and the beauty of these guys...who I love. Especially in those tiny glossy posers. F
Forgotten what an absolute BEAST Shaun Davis was....boning like crazy over these daddy bulls. I'm with you UKMN...wanna get to show and don't care who knows I'm obsessed with these musclefreaks!
